EURO4T CAR RENTALS – RENTAL AGREEMENT (Sweden)

 1. Parties and Definitions

This Agreement is between Euro4T Car Rentals Sweden AB (“we”, “our”, “us”) and the renter (“you”). An “Authorized Driver” means the renter or another person approved by us with a valid driving license. “Vehicle” refers to the rented car and all accessories, equipment, and documents.

2. Driver Requirements

Drivers must be at least 21 years old and have held a valid driving licence for at least 12 months. Only Authorized Drivers registered with us may drive the Vehicle. One additional driver may be registered free of charge. Further drivers may be added for a fee.

3. Pickup and Return

The Vehicle must be collected and returned at the agreed time and place, in the same condition as received. Delays over 1 hour may result in extra charges. Failure to return the Vehicle may be treated as unlawful use and may lead to repossession.

4. Proper Use

The Vehicle must not be used: (a) under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or while overtired; (b) for transporting illegal goods or dangerous substances; (c) in racing, towing, off-road, or other unauthorized activities; (d) by unapproved drivers; (e) for subletting or carrying paying passengers; (f) outside Sweden without our written approval; (g) for commercial use (e.g. taxi, ride-hailing, courier) unless agreed in writing.

5. Condition of Vehicle and Accessories

You confirm that the Vehicle was received in good condition, except for any noted damages. Photos may be taken at pickup and return. Child car seats are provided free of charge upon request.

6. Responsibility for Damage or Loss

You are responsible for any damage, theft, or loss while the Vehicle is in your care, even if not directly caused by you. Ordinary wear is excluded. All accidents, thefts, or damages must be reported to us immediately and, where applicable, to the police.

7. Insurance and Liability

All Vehicles are insured under our Trygg-Hansa full insurance policy, including third-party liability, fire, theft, glass, towing, and damage coverage.

• Deductibles (“självrisk”) follow the official insurance bill (försäkringsbrev) and apply to you.
• You are responsible for paying the deductible if a claim arises.
• If you purchase Full Damage Cover (FDC), we waive the deductible, but only for genuine accidents or unavoidable events.
• FDC does not apply to: intoxicated or reckless driving, unauthorized drivers, prohibited use, unsecured Vehicle, misfuelling, loss of keys/documents/accessories, interior dirt or damage, smoking, excessive contamination, unauthorized cross-border use, gross negligence, willful damage, or criminal use.
• Insurance may be void if incidents are not reported promptly.

8. Payments, Deposits, and Administration Fees

Normally, no deposit is required, but we may request one if needed. You agree to pay all rental fees, taxes, tolls, fines, penalties, cleaning costs, deductibles, and other charges under this Agreement. An administration fee of SEK 300 is added to each such bill. By signing, you authorize us to charge your card or account for these amounts, including charges identified after the rental period.

9. Fuel and Staff Charges

The Vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as at pickup. If not, we will refuel and charge market price plus SEK 300 service fee. All fuel costs during the rental are borne by you. If delivery or return is requested at a location other than Arlanda Airport, you are responsible for the fuel cost of the extra distance. Staff charges may also apply for delivery, collection, or return outside Arlanda. Where staff costs are included in the agreed price, no extra applies; otherwise, charges vary by distance, location, and time.

10. Smoking and Cleaning

All Vehicles are non-smoking. A penalty from SEK 5,000 applies if smoking is detected. Excessive dirt, stains, or contamination may result in a cleaning fee from SEK 1,500.

11. Mileage

Mileage is unlimited; however, daily driving may not exceed 600 km per day. Additional charges apply if this limit is exceeded.

12. Emergencies and Cooperation

If the Vehicle suffers a flat tire, weak battery, or minor issue, you must remain patient and take reasonable first steps (e.g. spare tire, jump-start, recharge) before requesting assistance. You must follow our instructions and cooperate to minimize delay, damage, and cost. If the Vehicle becomes unusable due to a mechanical fault not caused by you, assistance will be arranged as soon as reasonably possible.

13. Fines, Penalties, and Tolls

You are fully responsible for all parking tickets, traffic violations, congestion taxes, tolls, and similar charges during the rental. You must always take care to park legally and avoid fines. If a fine or penalty is later sent to us as the registered vehicle owner, you will be charged the full fine amount plus any late fees, collection costs, and an administration fee of SEK 300. Additional processing charges may apply if further action is required. Failure to pay may result in legal action to recover the outstanding balance.

14. GPS and Tracking

Vehicles may be fitted with GPS tracking for security, mileage control, and recovery. Location data may be used if the Vehicle is lost, stolen, or if this Agreement is breached.

15. Lost Property

We are not responsible for any personal belongings left in the Vehicle.

16. Winter and Safety Rules

Vehicles are equipped according to Swedish law (e.g. winter tyres Dec–Mar). You must drive safely and adapt to road and weather conditions.

17. Right to Repossession

We may repossess the Vehicle without notice if payments are not made, if the Vehicle is at risk, or if the Agreement is violated.

18. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made 48 hours or more before pickup are fully refundable. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before pickup, or failure to collect the Vehicle, are non-refundable.

19. Liability Limits

Our liability is limited to the rental fee paid. We are not liable for indirect losses, delays, or consequential damages.

20. Termination and Changes

We may terminate this Agreement immediately if the terms are violated. Extensions must be approved by us. Any changes must be confirmed in writing by Euro4T Car Rentals Sweden AB.

21. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by Swedish law. Any disputes will be settled in Swedish courts.
